The one problem with having rain and clouds 325+ days of the year and sunsets happening at 1AM is that the light in Alaska is almost never too dramatic during the summer, unless one is willing to stay up quite late or wake up at around 3AM for sunrise.
This was my single effort to stay up late for sunset, on a day that was actually rainy for most of the day, and it paid off by being by far the best light (and actually, the only good light) that we had the whole trip.
Taken along the inside passage, just south of the Skagway/ Haines area.
It was definitely worth it!
A wonderfull dramatic atmosphere. The subtile light spots are really wonderfull in combination with the nighty blue.
Great job!
This is amazing. The colors are beautiful. ^^ I don't think I would have been able to stay up that late or wake up that early.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This news article features five deviants who took part in Comment Month through commenting on the deviations that were submitted.
