Peak autumn color in the White mountains of New Hampshire.

Those peaks in the background are Tripyramid peak.

The rest of New Hampshire was in dire flood conditions, but the white mountains were nice, cloudy, misty, the perfect weather for fall/ waterfall photography.

edit: changed to a panorama. What do you think?

Ahhh...you were in my neck of the woods for the Flood of 2005!

Oh dear, what a mess it made.

Gorgeous capture of my favorite time of year in my favorite state!

Hope you had an enjoyable stay here in beautiful NH. :)

Bloody hell the colours - amazing.. Although I would recommend trying to minimize or totally cut out the sky when it is overcast.

Glad you like. The colors in the white mountains are unreal. This actually was not even quite peak. Peak is still a few days off yet.
The only reason I didnt completely cut out the sky here is because I liked the clouds around the peaks. If it was just plain overcast I would have left the sky out.

I am very sorry about all the flooding. We got our fair share in MA as well. When we were in the white mountains we saw all the news reports of the massive flooding, when in the mountains it was only fog.
I am glad that you like the shot though, and I hope the whole flood mess gets cleared up quickly
And my stay was wonderful :)

We went through Keene this weekend and it was a tragic sight. Flood waters everywhere and for miles after we saw high water in every town we passed. I much prefer the view depicted here in your photo. I like the mountains in the background. Great color.

We're still waiting on our color! Too hot and rainy here... it's finally starting to dry out and cool off, though, so we'll see what happens in the next two weeks. This is usually peak color weekend for us. boo. Looks beautiful up there, though!
